For more than seventy years, Formosan Rubber Group (FRG) has grown from its beginnings in Banqiao in northern Taiwan into the largest integrated supplier of rubber and plastics products in Taiwan and the only one-stop provider of its kind in Asia. The Company has also actively expanded into defense-related materials.

- FRG acquired a partial land ownership interest in the site of the Kaohsiung Ambassador Hotel and completed the redevelopment plan under the program for reconstruction of dangerous and old buildings.
2021
- The Serif mixed-use development in San Francisco, USA, was successfully completed.
- FRG entered into a joint development agreement with CDC and AMBH for a land development project in Kaohsiung City.
2020
- Upon completion of the “La Bella Vita” project in January 2020, formal sales of residential units commenced immediately following the conclusion of the pre-sale phase.
- Conversion of a coal-fired steam boiler to biofuel use, with completion of the 2020 Industrial Low-Carbon Technology Subsidy Program supported by the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs.
2019
- Installation of two environmentally compliant gas-fired thermal oil boilers at the Taoyuan Plant.
- Occupancy permit for the “55 Timeless” project obtained in December 2018; property handover and title transfer commenced in January 2019.
2018
- Installation of a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) system with waste heat recovery.
- In response to the government’s domestic rail vehicle localization policy, the Taoyuan Plant actively developed rubber flooring materials, successfully passed testing, and secured an order for the New Taipei MRT Ankeng Light Rail vehicle flooring system.
- Commencement of construction of the Serif mixed-use development in San Francisco, USA.
2017
- The Taoyuan Plant installed its fifth steel-belt Rotocure curing machine and a new automatic batching and weighing system to enhance production efficiency and process automation.
- Establishment of FRG’s U.S. subsidiary, FRG US Corp., to oversee real estate investment, development, leasing, and sales operations in the United States.

- The Taichung Huiguo Section joint development project (La Bella Vita) obtained its construction permit on November 6, 2015, and the groundbreaking ceremony was held on March 4, 2016.
2014
- Investment in a new stainless-steel multi-function coating and laminating production line with a dust-free oven system, and a dedicated TPU calendering line for the production of patented airtight dry suits, gas mask materials, chemical protective fabrics, inflatable life jackets, life rafts, medical air mattresses, and specialty products in ivory and fluorescent colors.

- Construction permit obtained for the “55 Timeless” joint development project in Xinyi District, Taipei City in June, followed by the groundbreaking ceremony and commencement of pre-sales in September of the same year.
- Execution of a joint development agreement with Continental Development Corporation (CDC) for a land development project in Taichung City.
2013
- The “Modesty Home” development project in Banqiao District, New Taipei City achieved full pre-sales in February and was completed with an occupancy permit issued in December.
- Official naming of the “Legend River” project in Xindian District, New Taipei City, followed by the commencement of construction and pre-sales.
- Commissioning of the second set of energy-saving, high-efficiency steam and thermal oil boiler systems at the Taoyuan Plant.
2012
- FRG marked the 70th anniversary of its founding.
- The Manufacturing Division established sales offices in Shanghai and South China to expand its presence in the mainland China market.

- Official naming of the Phase II “Modesty Home” land development project in Banqiao District, New Taipei City, followed by the commencement of construction and pre-sales.
- Establishment of an Employee Sports and Wellness Center equipped with basketball, table tennis, and badminton courts, as well as various fitness facilities for use by employees and their families.
