Proactive Transformation Toward Diversified Operations
For more than 70 years, FORMOSAN RUBBER INC. has remained firmly committed to its core businesses while actively pursuing strategic transformation toward diversified operations to reduce operational risks and strengthen long-term profitability. Through careful evaluation over the years, the Group recognized that its extensive land holdings accumulated through decades of development represent a key competitive advantage for expanding into the construction sector.
This new direction has not been without challenges. It requires both vision and determination. From the very beginning, the Group has upheld a clear and uncompromising principle: to build the finest developments in the best locations, in collaboration with the most outstanding design, planning, and construction teams.
Regardless of economic cycles or market conditions, this commitment remains the enduring cornerstone of the Group’s construction division.

Real Estate Development and Construction Services
In the early 2000s, the transformation of the Banqiao Plant site into prime development land within the New Banqiao Special District—now a key administrative, commercial, and transportation center of New Taipei City—marked the origin of FRG’s strategic move into high-end residential development.
Located directly opposite the New Taipei City Government in the New Banqiao Special District, FRG’s site represented the largest development parcel within the district. On this prime location, the Company developed the rare large-scale luxury residential projects “The Bridge up to Zenith” and its Phase II project “Modesty Home.” Completed in 2010 and 2013 respectively, the two developments remain landmark high-end residential buildings in New Taipei City.
The success of the Banqiao development established a solid foundation for the Company’s Construction Division and inspired FRG to pursue further excellence. Since then, FRG has expanded its development footprint across Taipei, New Taipei City, Taichung, and Kaohsiung, and further extended its reach internationally to San Francisco with boutique residential and hospitality developments
